Lewis Ryland is a British artist based in Cardiff, UK. He was born in the valleys of South Wales, but raised and educated in London. He studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths and later achieved an MFA in Creative Practice at Trinity Laban. Ryland is primarily a painter, working in acrylic. His cursive painting style is heavily influenced by his practical knowledge of movement and dance. He uses lyrical marks and gestures to create vivid, kaleidoscopic compositions that harmonise the creation of art with the pursuit of spiritual practice.
